Dent Repair USA

Dent Repair USA is the software I wished I had in my own truck. I have practiced paintless dent repair since 1999, and every estimating app I tried was either built for a body shop, priced for a franchise, or written by someone who had never pushed a dent. So I built one for the technician who works alone or with a small crew, and I made the core of it free, permanently.

What it does

• Estimates, panel by panel. Your pricing, your matrix, retail or hail. The estimate is a link the customer can open on any phone, in their language, and pay from.
• Invoices and payments. Send it, mark it paid, or take a card through Square. Travel deposits, prepay, and a finger-signed third-party agreement when a shop is paying for someone else's car.
• Customers and vehicles. Full history, VIN scanning, a vehicle catalog of every make and model, imports from Mobile Tech RX, Acuity and plain spreadsheets.
• Scheduling with a public booking link. Shop or mobile, day-capacity limits, route clustering for the mobile technician, confirmations by email or text.
• Hail. A storm map, walk-up sessions for hail sites, supplements, and a wholesale invoice format that insurers and dealers accept.
• The Tech Network. A free profile connects technicians worldwide: referrals, crew recruiting, questions and answers, a lead map for door-to-door work.
• Eighteen languages, any direction. You write in the language you think in; the customer reads the estimate in theirs.
• Books included. My guide, The Physics of Paintless Dent Repair, is built into the app, with a spoken edition.

Where it runs

iPhone and iPad from the App Store, Android from Google Play, and a full web portal at dentrepairusa.com for the desk. All three stay in step: the same features ship on every surface, and a change made on one appears on the others.

What costs money

Only the things that cost me money per use: the AI phone assistant that answers your business line, texts customers and books appointments, and a few paid integrations such as QuickBooks sync. Everything a technician needs to write an estimate and get paid is free.

A read-only Mac companion for the back office, with dashboards, accounts receivable and wholesale batch reports, is in development.
