Needs World of Warcraft Classic Era (interface 11509) today; Forever once its beta opens

  1. Unzip. You get a folder named Mender.
  2. Move that folder into World of Warcraft › _classic_era_ › Interface › AddOns (create AddOns if it is missing).
  3. Restart the game or type /reload, then /mender for options. Untested in the live game until the Forever beta: expect rough edges and tell me about them.

I heal. When Blizzard announced World of Warcraft: Forever, a new game on the original Classic foundation, the addons I rely on did not exist for it yet, so I started writing my own before the beta opened.

What it does

  • Party and raid frames that scale from five to forty, with the Blizzard frames hidden if you wish.
  • Click-casting. Bind a spell to a mouse button, with modifiers, and cast it on whoever you click. Bindings are stored by spell name and read live from your spellbook, because Forever's healing kits are still being revealed.
  • Incoming heals, yours and everyone else's, shown on the bar before they land.
  • Dispel highlights in the colour of the affliction, only for what your class can remove.
  • Your heals over time, with countdowns that turn red as they fade.

Where it stands

Every piece is built and covered by a test harness that runs against a stand-in of the game's interface. None of it has been seen inside the game yet, because the game is not out: the beta opens in mid-September 2026 and the launch is set for November. The first job on beta day is to load it, find what Blizzard changed, and fix it. It will be free, as Blizzard requires of every addon.
